Hay guys 8D I have about....15ish mins left so I thought I'd say hi!
I'm staying in Mt Beauty at a town called 'Tawonga' about an hour from Fall's Creek. We're at this ski loft and it's a quaint little place and I love it XD It's warm and cozy inside so I'm never cold at all.
I've been up to Fall's Creek twice now, but the winding car trip always makes me sick so no more snow for me >__> I have the most retrotastic green Roxy snow jacket EVER XD If this PC weren't so ancient I'd upload a ton of pics but as it is ancient... you can has just one.
( Huge-ass photo + vids! ;O; )

Haha, it's me again! o(≧∇≦)o I'm currently at a computer lab at Kansai University, coz Aya's currently at a class. (゚∀゚) It'll be a while before she comes back. I haven't actually decided whether i'm gonna stay here for 2 hours or go window shopping around the shops outside the uni. The weather is hot omg...but to be honest, after a few months of coldness at Adelaide, it's a welcome change. Besides, this weather is nice compared to the awful heat and humidity of Malaysia. ^^;;
But anyway, yes about the journey. Got to Malaysia at around 9-ish at night, then went hunting around the airport looking for a Clarins counter coz i had to get a converter from my mom's friend's collegue who works there. Then finally boarded the plane for Narita at 11.30. The flight was delightfully empty, only half the plane was full, so i got a window seat and the seat beside me was empty as well. I couldn't sleep though, coz the engine was just outside my window. -_-lll Finally got to Tokyo at 7-ish in the morning. Got my JR railpass, and also reserved a seat to Tokyo Station.
I'll just pause here for a while and say something that will prolly make me sound like i just dropped out of a tree, or touristy: the trains here are just insane! ヽ(゚Д゚;)ノ They have loads of different trains for the same platform! And they go both directions! o_O Seriously, if i hadn't looked at my ticket and saw the time on it, i would've hopped on the first train that arrived on the platform! -_-lll
Surprisingly, Tokyo Station wasn't as complicated as i thought. I managed to find the platform for the Shinkansen bound for Kyoto without difficulty at all. And thankfully, i didn't have much of a language barrier to worry abt (Thank you last year's Keigo lessons! (o^-')b), and most of the signs at train stations have English on them. It took me around 2.5 hours to get from Tokyo to Kyoto. The shinkansen was awesome! o(≧∇≦)o I nearly fell asleep, as i was so tired. Thank god i had my iPod on. ^^;; Seriously, Katamari Damacy's music is the perfect music for long travels. (o^-')b The train was also scarily fast! Everytime another shinkansen went pass us the whole car would shake! o_O Met up with Aya and her mom at the station, and then we went to the Isetan there for lunch. Had really yummy katsudon, which was apparently made from some other part of the pig so it was less oily and thus healthier. It was so good. I thought it was chicken at first. (゚∀゚) We then went to the supermarket below where Aya's mom bought loads of yummy things for dinner. Got back to their house, had a shower then went off to another place at Arashiyama. There was this bamboo forest and it was one of the most impressive and beautiful things i've ever seen. (*´∀`*) Had really awesome 2 tiered soft-serve mango and green tea ice-cream as well! Omg it was SO GOOD! Aya and her mom were so nice! Seriously, i feel kinda bad. They wouldn't let me help them with anything, and paid for loads of the things, like the sushi for dinner, and lunch yesterday. I really want to help, coz i feel like i've already caused enough trouble for staying with her. ^^;; We slept at Aya's grandmother's house last night, coz Aya's room didn't have enough space. Eventhough her grandmother's house is less than 5 minutes' walk away it still felt funny. (゚∀゚)
Went to for a tour of Suntory beer factory today coz Aya's friend works as a tour guide/receptionist there. It was interesting! I know Australians would definitely love the place! XD
Anyway, some random observations so far:
1. Omg, staying with Aya actually feels like a homestay. (゚∀゚)
2. There's shops or stalls that sells the prettiest and most appetizing foods everywhere!! And i DO mean EVERYWHERE! o_O
3. All the girls and young women here are obsessed with layering their clothes, even in this 28 degrees celcius heat. But honestly, i'll never do that, even if it makes me stand out. -_-lll It's too hot!
4. I feel hungry so fast here...is it some mental thingy urging me to try more of the awesome foods here? o_O
5. Japanese ppl eat salads with every meal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner...whatever...o_O
6. Where are all the freaking guys with awesome hair?! ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Haven't managed to get Yuki's handphone to work, coz the charger he gave me wouldn't fit, then the other charger i bought just now at the 100 yen shop wouldn't work on the computer either. orz So yeah....will go back to Aya's place today and see if it'll work on her laptop.
By the way, the summer sale had just started, so everything's really cheap now. Cheaper than Australia. And they're so cute! And most importantly, THEY FIT ME! I told myself that i won't buy non-Lolita/punk clothes here, but omg...i think i'll end up breaking that promise to myself now....orz
We're going to some temple-ish place tomorrow in yukata! And Aya said she'll help me do my hair! Can't wait! o(≧∇≦)o

EDIT!!!!
Since the majority prefers QV - this will be the meeting place for our doll meet.
Kawaii_Mon will be there around 11 am to get tables - so will I and my crew.
DOLLFIE TRADERS STALLS
Oh yes!!! Me and my sister have got quite a bit of dollfie stuff for sale (dolls, clothes, guitars, uniforms, wigs, eyes) - we will be bringing these to this meeting as well. If you have stuff you would like to sell or barter or whatever else you're welcome to bring these to the meeting :D
Cheers!

Sooo it appears I'm heading to Gen-Con this weekend - I'll be there on the Sunday :) Possibly just to say Toodle Pip to the fantastic Alan Tudyke (aka Wash and Steve the Motherfuckkin' Pirate) and to laugh at fat-cosplayers, play neckbeard-bingo, spot the goon and failure-attempts at Lolita.
Also am thinking of using this as my new journal header:

Click for large!
I love this photosoot and it's currently my desktop :D I love it for its use of the Last Supper refrence so I made it look as damaged as the actual fresco in Venice.

My birthday is July 10th...
The same birthday as

This man blew up a owl with a ray gun that then lead to a city wide blackout, has been one of my heroes since I was 9 (Blame my grandfather) and he never really got any credit for most of his work and was treated so poorly at so many points in his life. His science put down the ground work for so many things we take for granted now. I think its funny that now he is becoming known. Its good that history is now fun for more people to know things of.
So there for I and the two others Dave ! and Jim who share this birthday on my FL rock..
(I know I am silly but it amuses me when I am tired )

I am beyond upset right now. Remember how the courthouse admitted an error? Well, Cody followed up once and was told nothing had been resolved yet, they'd call within a week. A Wee goes by and so we call today...and suddenly they have no idea what we're talking about. And they never did some mailings they were supposed to do. So now we have to head to Santa Barbara and deal with this in person.
I get this really bad feeling it's all going to have to start over, and I'm furious.

I also had a really ridiculous conversation with a friend of mine today. I was telling her about the band I want to start, which turned into a discussion about glam rock and how she never really "got" it. I said something about androgyny and she said she hates "shims" and that she likes guys who just be guys... she seemed to think any male who deviated from the "man" archetype was some stick in the mud protestor trying to "force unnatural social change". I told her that anything constructed by society is unnatural, whether it's the norms or the change. I also noted that it's somehow degrading for a male to dress in a typically "feminine" fashion and not for females to wear "men's clothing" and that it was indicative of the lack of progress we've really made towards erradicating the male/female heirarchy... to which she made some leftfield statement about how if a woman loses out on a job to a man who is physically more capable she should just accept it instead of being "bitter" and kicking up a stink. Also apparently any males who feel that the ascribed gender roles don't fit them should just "deal with it" because it's "not going to change"..... but this from the person who disagreed with me that definitions were still way too binary. Ugh. Frustrating. I mean... I know obviously people think like this but I really thought she was a bit more progressive than that.
Then when we changed the subject and I showed her this article and she said she agreed with it. I asked if she agreed that a slogan t-shirt is worth a $5000 fine and she said that thousands of young people were getting together for something positive that wasn't about drinking and "rock stars" and that it shouldn't be spoiled by "tryhards" who want to protest it. I don't suppose it occurs to her that some of the "youth" might want to have their voices heard too. I also told her it was a violation of human rights and her answer was similar to the binary gender issue... "they should deal with it". In other words the Catholic church can make whatever laws they want while protests and defamation and anti-Muslim sentiment runs abound surrounding the Camden school issue? Ugh ugh ugh. I shouldn't have even bothered trying to argue with her. She's a young Liberal in the making.

I was pretty confused last night. People confuse me. Most especially the female ones. First of all is Megan, who told me straight out she doesn't like me that way when I told her a month or so ago. But then when we were hanging out it was like she did. Maybe she's just playful or affectionate or whatever. But that's confusing. But she's confused me too many times so I'm just going to live with the idea that she doesn't.
Then there's Jamie the girl who likes me but I turned down. I still have this vague question mark that the reasons I don't like her are shallow, or that instead of waiting around for some girl who is pretty much just like me or whatever, that I should actually have a shot at, say for example, real people. So part of me was thinking we should go out and get to know each other more and all that. But by the time I slept on it and resolved it in my head I think I should go with my gut feeling on that one.
Then there are people who fit the "whole package" bill but are overseas and we have little flirty arrangements going on and they really legitimately like me a lot but then when I try and tell them it's impractical or impossible or whatever it's like they think I'm rejecting them personally or something and it doesn't stop anyway.
On top of that, I think I'm pretty much hung up on most of my former girlfriends/crushes, or at least nostalgic about it and still fancy the idea rather than the reality.
So in conclusion, I think I'll just retire from girls totally and stop trying to like people and instead I'll just keep waiting quietly for that girl who doesn't exist to show up randomly some day and worry about music or art or whatever instead.
